Are you for real?
Why a Society?
On October 16, 1995 a group of parents in our community incorporated the Graminia Swing'n Band Society. Registering the Graminia Swing'n Band Society as an NPO (non-profit organization) has had many benefits. The status has allowed the Society to participate in Casino events sanctioned by the Alberta Liquor and Gaming Commission along with enabling other fund raising activities. Our efforts in this regard help to sustain the band program at the Graminia school and give our children the opportunity to reap the benefits of a musical education and their performance events have become a community tradition!
If you have a child in the Band program at the Graminia Community School, you are automatically a member of the Graminia Swing'n Band Society. Your participation in our fund raising efforts make the Band program sustainable. If you simply don't have the time, there are instances where your monetary support will suffice.
